Scary times we are living in. I couldn't believe this (below) when I saw it. The article (below) talks about David Duke running for Congress.David Duke is the former leader of the KKK. I know anyone can run, but it's scary to think he is. Here is the article:
It’s been nearly 30 years since David Duke won his only political race, but news that he’s considering a run for the House against Majority Whip Steve Scalise got a lot of attention.

Question your media and their bias. A former Klan leader and chapter organizer not only ran for office, but he won and was re-elected to the point where he served fifty one years in the House and the Senate. And you never hear him referred to as a "former KKK leader." The reason? Robert Byrd was a democrat. By the way, when David Duke was registered as a Democrat (70s and until the late 80s) he also wasn't referred to as a "Klansman." Is it problematic? Yes, but only if it's reported completely. There are, and have been, democrats (the Klan was started by democrats in the south) who have been Klansmen and later ran for office that were never called out.

@josie_ -- yes, it is bias when the media ONLY refers to Republicans as "klansmen" but completely ignores the fact that several Democrats are/were klansmen. The Klan is evil, but the media only reports that when the person running for office has an "R" after his name for party affiliation.

The KKK was founded by Democratic delegate Nathan Bedford Forest and endorsed by progressive Democrat President Woodrow Wilson and the Democratic Party was the party of racists and bigots right up until convincing the population that was never us, we love you and are the party of the people, it's those Republicans who are the racist bigots. Shhhh....keep it quiet that Lincoln was a Republican. We fooled the idiots into thinking he's a Democrat.

@FourWalls _Is it media bias? It is a historically proven fact that the KKK is racist. Jim Crow laws enforcing racial segregation was supported by the KKK through terror tactics like lynching, arson and bombings. If former members got elected into public office, does it change their racial prejudice? Robert Byrd once repeatedly use the phrase"white n*gger" in a nationally televised broadcast. David Duke switch side from the Democratic to the Republican party not for any principled reason but because of pragmatic expediency.

Those KKK members, how sure are they that they were pure white? Majority of Multigenerational white Americans have a bit of Native American or even African American in them. Many eastern Europeans have a bit of Asian decent on them. I remember Martha Steward recently found out she is a descendant of Kublai Khan.

@josie_ Have you notice when caucasians marry Southeast Asians the kids looks white? I remember accidentally finding the forums of KKK members. They were so upset and disgusted of themselves because they have crushes with Hollywood stars like Kate Beckinsale and Kristin Kreuk because they were half Asian.

Wasn't he already a politician before in the past? Like a governor or state representative or something?

That's what democracy is all about. White supremacists aren't the only people who are advocating the superiority of their particular group or race.

They were so threatened about their population when Caucasians are still 70% of the population of the United States.
