I took this shot of the Franklin Mountains years ago and I can't remember why I took it, but I'm glad I did.

Well, yesterday I was out n about and did a bit of shopping I need to get out more cuz I bought some setup at Sams that has 2 curling irons .... ummm, I have short wavy hair .... a blow dryer and other crud I know I'll never use. Watt was I thinking?!?!? Today I'm goin back to return this stuff so some young cute girl can buy it to curl her long tresses ...... ok, some things just aren't for old ladies like me who doesn't curl or blow dry her hair anymore. Oh, before I forget, I've found a really awesome way to get that brownish stain out of the toilet bowl without having to scrub the damn thing. I got all the water to drain from the bowl then I filled it with hydrogen peroxide and let it sit over night. WOW, it's white once more and I didn't have to scrub .... I mean really, who enjoys scrubbing that bowl anyway. The niftiest thing bout it is no poisons went into my septic. YaY

@rebelann I'll have to try the peroxide. Did it take a lot of bottles? I don't even look at curling irons, my hair is short and it does what it wants to anyway.

I've done this now for the 2nd time and it's working on the really tough stuff at the very bottom now, wish I'd known about this sooner @HazySue the water here is extremely hard.

@rebelann I definitely will try it. It sounds like a cheap efficient way to take care of a nasty problem.

Hydrogen peroxide, eh? Are those the same as bleaches? If so, then yes, I guess my husband has been using your way for some time now. I remember wondering to myself at first: "how did he so easily get the bowl so clean?" as I didn't see him scrubbing hard yet all the brownish stain did disappear...

I used to use hydrogen peroxide only on wounds if I hurt myself then I read something online about how it could whiten teeth and I decided that the really old bottle of it wasn't something I wanted to use on me so I just figured I might as well dump it in the bowl to see what would happen, boy am I glad I did. My thing now is to find the food grade HP, I didn't even know about that until yesterday .... boy do we learn so much on the web.

I have very curly short hair, I haven't even combed or brushed my hair in like 30 years. I wash it everyday and just hand comb it into place. When my sons were young my hubby had to comb their hair, I was so unused to using a comb or brush I just couldn't seem to do it properly lol.

Yep, I'm lucky I got it at Sams @fishtiger58 I was only in there to get a few supplies when a young lady asked if I had a minute to let her explain her products. I guess I just fell for the whole Gee, look what these curling items can do for your hair.

Hate those stains but I found something almost as easy I use the lime away tb cleaner I find it at dollar tree. you do have to drag the brush across it but no major scrubbing it. I remember when you could get peroxide 4 for buck not here it cant be found under two bucks. If I find any on sale I will have to give it a try I hate using a brush.

I have a multitude of shots of the Franklins, I love those mountains. Yes, it was time for a change. This one was an old avatar I used on Bubblews. You're welcome for that tip, I'm finding that some of the things I accidentally find out some folks might not know about just yet ..... I'm learning so much from the web.

I have heard about the hydrogen peroxide treatment, but I have never tried it. I should now since you recommend it.
