Unfortunately, it was. It was a bad experience, so I tried to make the best of it. You know what they say, When life hands you lemons; make limericks. Okay, that was corny...

Breakfast was a disaster,
Coz the chef did not master,
The art of making food
That was tasty and good,
Maybe, her cooking days are past her?

Very nice rhyme! You may have a point. The cook was either ready to retire or just learning to cook. Haha

My coworkers experienced this pancake misfortune one Friday before work, so it fueled plenty of complaints around the water cooler that day.

Thanks. I didn't eat the pancakes, but my friends did. They were still too traumatized to document the experience, so I did.

Thanks, Judy! Writing about food is fun, even when the food is less than desirable.

Thank you! For my coworkers, yes. I didn't order the pancakes--I just watched their horrified reactions and documented the experience.

Haha. Yes, that part is in the limerick, uncut version. It's not for general audiences.

Sounds like my cooking, although the pancakes I made yesterday didn't turn out as bad as I thought they would! lol

If you could eat more than one bite of your pancakes, then they were better than these. Haha

I enjoy limericks. This one is interesting. I haven't much tried to write limericks, but I do write Haiku and lots of poetry. I need to try to write limericks. Perhaps I will. Thanks for this one.

Haiku is a great form. I used to write a lot of them when I was in college. I was too busy for longer forms. Haha.
If you try limericks or other forms, I hope you'll share with us.

They were plain pancakes, but our theory was that the milk in the batter was sour or something.
