I hate packing

My room seems to have even more stuff in than usual, even though half of it is packed up, because it's all dragged out and taking up the little floor space I have to begin with. This is the second time in two years that I've had to pack up my entire room and I've decided I don't like it. I'll have to do it at least twice more in my life as well; once this time next year when I move out of that room, and once when I finally officially move out of my parents' home. Another time if I ever do my masters (which I'm hoping for, but I don't expect to be able to). I really really hate it.

It's not even sentimental stuff, it's all stuff that I actually need (clothes and books and kitchen stuff and the like) so I can't just get rid of it :/

@Stitch95 I know we kind of need things. I just sick of moving in general and actually for a little while reduced to the point of having one plate, one spoon, one glass etc. It made washing dishes a breeze ha ha

Tell me about it. I have a son who I've helped move around every year for four years while he's been doing his Masters and who I'm having to help move to London in a few weeks. I have a daughter (incidentally called Laura) who I've moved twice so far during her degree. And to top it all off I'm moving house in a few weeks too.

@Stitch95 My son wasn't too bad as he was in Huddersfield (we're in Manchester) but my daughter is in Newcastle. It's not too bad though because that's where I'm from so we usually make a weekend of it and stay with my family.

That is a hell of a lot of moving. I've only stayed in two accommodations for uni, but obviously it's a move there and home again each year (because the contracts for me don't last through August so I have to go home for a month at least). Trying to fit everything into the car is Not Fun. Do you have to take your kids far, or is it at least fairly close to home? Good luck with the move! :)

I know, but I still don't like it. It wouldn't have been so bad if I was just moving to my next accommodation instead of just going home for a month, because then at least once it's in it's done until this time next year. As it is, I'm essentially putting all of my stuff in storage for a month

I hate packing! It's one thing when you have to pack because you are moving to a new home... You just pack everything and go. When you are packing for a vacation you never know what to take and want to take the whole closet with you. That's how it is with me.

It's alright to pack for moving if you have a van or something, but I have to fit everything into a fairly small car :') Not going to be fun

It's always feel like we have too much stuff when it's time to pack no matter how much we feel like we don't have anything at the rest of the time...
