I doubt I would tire of the rain

You see, I am much a homebody at any rate. I am also not afraid of a little rain, nor getting soaked to the bone. I was reading a book, the book is of no consequence to the discussion. Well, other than to mention there was a line that described the weather in a scene and how the characters bemoaned it. I would have loved to stand there, in the mud and muck, rain pelting ferociously down upon me. I love storm clouds, probably more than I love a blue sky day. It stormed the other night while I was at work. While I hated the fact I wasn't at home to enjoy it with a good book, I was happy that I could hear it at all. It doesn't seem to have really cooled us down any though. No matter, Sunday and Monday we are supposed to have storms again. I don't now who it was that talked to Helius but if you could also talk to Anemoi about some cooling winds here? I'd be much obliged.

It's just a rather flip comment often made about the fact that our weather is just not very predictable. It can rain just as much in August as it does in March or October - and often does! Also, the ambient temperature is unpredictable, to say the least! In other words, we have weather aplenty - but we can never quite predict when it's coming!

Of course, here in the UK we turn talking about the weather into a fine art. After all, it's been said that we don't have a climate - only weather!

We are only reaching the 90's, of which I know I should be very thankful. The rain just doesnt' seem to keep the temps down for long at all!

When I used to work from home, I loved the rainy days where I could just stay in bed all day and working and of course, taking hot teas in between.

Yes, rain is much more fun when you can experience it. If you are stuck inside without the ability to step away? Not so much fun.

I would not mind some rain right now, but I do know how it feels to be sick of grey skies and dark clouds for weeks on end

I would be completely ok with it. Perhaps because I am more of a night person anyway, and have a night shift job as is.

A slight drizzle is fine for me. But standing in the mud and muck because Zeus is mad at some other minor gods and throwing his tantrums of thunder bolts and storms is not. It's the monsoon season here in the Philippines.

I might tire of the thunder and lightning but rain would be okay. However, I agree, I don't think I'd want to be stuck in a storm!

I loved thunderstorms and storms in general until Hurricane Sandy. Then not so much. Now, after almost 4 years, I'm regaining my affinity for a good thunderstorm.

I hadn't even thought of the horrid storms we've had over the years, that have taken so much from so many. I do feel for those people, and I can completely understand not appreciating or liking a storm after having to go through that.
