Treasure and trash in myLot

I strongly believe that hidden in the vast store of myLot discussions are the treasures that one can unearth. However, sadly there is a lot of trash too. I have yet to find an efficient and effective way to locate such treasures. I try to use the search function but to no avail as it seems limited. By treasures I mean useful, sincere, reliable, accurate information and advice which can benefit the reader.
Do you believe such treasures exist?
How can you find them here?

Been here in myLot for over 6 years. There are a lot of treasures here to be found. Too bad the category has been removed that's why it's harder to find them using just the search button.
In time you will find those treasures. I'm a bit disappointed with how new users are using myLot.

@toniganzon I wonder why they removed the category feature. That would have been useful as it can narrow the search somewhat. In what way are you disappointed with how the new users are using myLot?

@toniganzon I guess they do not understand how the system works. So they go for quantity and neglect the quality totally thinking that by churning out lots of nonsensical posts they will be able to earn more. Perhaps the newcomers should read discussions such as these and get educated as to what are effective posts.

@succeednow they see myLot as a money making machine so they just start a discussion which makes no sense at all. They thought starting as many discussions as they can could give them a lot of dollars.

Yesterday I found some information on Fibromyalgia and it is sure a treasure for me as I love reading medical related things. The best way is to go through every possible post. Usually heading of the post says a lot about treasure or trash.

@anamika161088 Yes, I know that there are useful information when one happens to be online at the time when someone initiates the discussion. It is a real chore to go through every possible post.

@skysnap I think what you are saying is that quality posts which are useful are better.

@succeednow,And trash is perhaps much more than the treasure.

@else34 Yes, that seems to be the case. That's why it's hard to find the treasures amongst the trash.

@succeednow Actually most of us don't take pains to post quality articles.

@marlina Yes, I realize that. That's why I hope someone has been able to locate these treasures by other methods.

@navkang Yes, I'm aware of that. In fact I think there are much more "useless" discussions than "good" information.
