Why Did I Think A Part Time Job At McDonald's Would Work?

I have not given up on writing, I just needed some quick cash. Sure Hubpages still sends me a check each month , but I need to pay of this used car I bough a few months ago.
I took a part time night shift job at McDonalds to make extra cash. I'm sure there are good McDonald's out there, but this wasn't one of them. I have never seen a more toxic environment in my life.
My job felt like mental abuse, but surprisingly not from the customers. The customers we're the highlight of my night. Even when problems arose, the customers we're great! It was the people inside the building who demanded the moon and the sun. Then throw massive fits when you can't deliver!
I blame poor management, and have no choice but to cut the cord. I refuse to work for a place that is filled with such disrespect. I demand that my civil rights as a human being, and an American, be respected. If McD,'s can't do that then not only will I never work for them again, I will never eat there again either.

I'd rather have nothing than stand for abuse. My country needs to be held accountable for workers rights, as do many other countries.

By all means, if you are disrespected, it's not good to be part of such an organization. However, there are things that workers can remember as long as they are part of any organization.I believe there are other wonderful and better workplace you can find in your area. I am happy for you receiving income from hubpages. That would help you a lot in the coming months as you pay your new car..

The abuse at some fast food places is really bad.
They figure you need the money so it is ok to abuse the workers.

most of the time its the people in management or the employees around you that make it a terrible work environment. its hardly ever the business itself. ive worked in a place where the people were terrible, all i did was my job and not have any conversations or interaction with fellow employees unless it was work related. whenever s**t hit the fan, i couldnt be blamed or scapegoated because i didnt associate with them and was continually working.
