Is there a Type of Tree that'll Sprout New Roots if It's Uprooted and Left on the Ground?

I'm writing about the word "Persevere," and thought of 'how--no matter how "bendy" a tree might be--its roots have to stay firmly in place or else the tree will die.' But will it? I mean, is there no tree that--if you uproot it and lie it on its side--will sprout new roots to soak up nutrients from the soil?

Trees may fall down but will still grow as long as it has enough roots on the ground. I've seen L-shaped trees in my school's orchard after a huge storm hit. There's also this big mango tree that fell where we had a picnic once. Its was rooted halfway but still grew.
