There's a little poor girl, lives nearby in a slum Laborers are her dad and mum; One day I saw her having fun in the park I stopped to watch her; innocent was her face and skin was dark May be she had never enjoyed that way She was happy she was able to make hay; I see her barefoot, everyday, weather it's hot, dark or rain I wonder about her strength, doesn't she feel any pain? There are some children of the society who keep distance from her But she doesn't cry, may be she knows how they differ; I wonder,What kind of generation are we bringing? Even among children this mentality is growing. But this little girl is still happy with the people of her kind She quietly goes away without getting disappoint; Her face is innocent and eyes are sparkling I halt everyday to watch her playing and laughing; No amenities, no slippers and everyday same clothes she wears Daily along with her father and mother hot sun she bears; Far stronger than us and our children with no sign of sadness We live with all luxuries still feel helpless. Her satisfaction and innocence supersedes all her pains Though poor, uneducated but never in vein; Its feels nice to see her rare smile and play I don't know why, but I watch her everyday.
