Double Standards, Hypocritical or Both?

People never cease to amaze me. I don't get how it's alright for half a family to act, do and say what they want but it isn't alright for the other half. Who makes the rules? I'm a firm believer that each individual has the right to act, say and do what they like. As long as it isn't hurting anyone or themselves of course. Would that be considered a double standard, hypocritical or both?
