When work is play

I like being outdoors. Before I retired, I had an office job and I felt restless being on one place infront of a computer and wearing corporate clothes. I have accepted a job that will get me outdoors, delivering important catalogues to households. I have a strategy and make sure that I'm out early morning, with the beautiful sunshine, fluttering from one postbox to the next postbox until it's all done. It's like child's play really. I wear comfortable shoes and clothes and away I go. A far cry from what I used to do as work. I'd say that so far, I really enjoy this work for now. Do you enjoy your work?

Didn't you post this one before? I remember commenting on that. Or maybe I had a memory gap?

Unless you are my FB friend, that's the other place that I've mentioned this recent work. Yes, the winter is really getting to my nerves. Not good to walk and deliver in the rain. I do about 700 postboxes, in a span of 3 days. not bad.

That sounds like a wonderful job as long as the weather is nice. Today I found a phone book thrown out in my yard in a bag instead of in my mail box. How rude I think.

That's how they do it nowadays, but I take the time to neatly place those catalogues in the mailbox. Yes, I believe that's rude.

most liberatin', aint 't? when i left my profession, i was blessed with cattle'n horses 'n lots to do outdoors. those critters don't care how ya dress, jest how ya take care'f 'em. 'twas long hours, sweaty, heart-breakin' 't times, lil slumber durin' the calvin' season - i loved e'ery minute! keep hopin' i can o'ercome the health hiccups'n 't least spend more time with the horses. sadly i'd the need to sell off many 'n all the cattle. great memories though!

It's an easy job to get into, it's mostly for the college students who do this as it's good for their schedule. Good for me too. Thank you.

Its a golden rule the person who do outdoor jobs wants to sit at one place job and the person who do indoor job wants to go outside. I have seen many cases there is my friend who is on sale profession always travel to different places she once told me that she now wants a job in which she doesn't have to travel like some computer jobs.

I love my work. Make a new design program, decide a good solution for problems. Solving error compiling. I like it. Even sometimes it get me stressed when i cant figured out the bug on my program. But what i dislike is i have to use uniform, restrict by the schedule and a not-understanding boss. I dont really like an outdoor job by the way. Hope you enjoy yours

I used to like wearing a uniform, I don't have to worry about the clothes, only the bag, shoes that go with it.
