Same old, Same old

For those that have not a clue what I am talking about, the phrase is one that depicts my feelings about MONDAY's being drearily predictable or familiar. Same old, same old . . . The week-end is clearly over and the age old adage comes to mind that says "Work Hard, play hard". Therefore Mondays need to be taken by the horns, we need to buckle down and put an enthusiastic effort into both your daily work and our leisure times thereafter. Make sense? Its difficult being a housewife some days, the same old, same old functions can really get one down . . . routine dusting, cleaning, washing, dishes, all to just be messed up again within a 24 hour time line. A thankless job indeed. I could be anywhere else but here today . . . but I am not! Happy Monday - your thoughts are welcome. My photo is of the Simon van der Stel Slave Bell in Cape Town Gardens.

Happy Monday! I love to always start my Monday right. Whenever I feel that I have this tired feeling, I instantly switch it to its opposite mode. I do not want to ruin my day just because I feel tired. I think of something happy, something to be thankful for. Indeed, each day is a blessing that we should not take for granted.

Good morning Lany :) Hmmm...I feel the same way on a Monday morning at my desk at work, a whole world to see and every morning I end up at the same old same old desk :(

same here, full of house hold and office work, full day i will be working and not getting time for myself to do anything and I have to attend for my son education also.

I eventually got over my Mondaynisms yesterday - worked my fingers to the bone but must say my curmudgeon mood is still prevalent - so I might just be having a little problem getting out of it!

I think you're right about house-work being a thankless task. I don't mind doing it but within a day or two most of it needs doing again.

I have had a rough go of it, this morning in an ok mood, happy to be home. I hate working outside the home, but we have awhile of bills before I could not be working full time sadly

It makes sense. There are many people who may be like you who are in a different mood when monday comes. It's another workday or the start of another workweek for many. Same old function may be good because you are already very familiar with the routine of what you're doing. Enjoy it especially when it's something you really want to do - that bless you and others around you. May your MONDAY be always happy and not a MOAN-DAY..
