There is a widespread clickbait internet scam trying to target people who are curious of the hype of the app Pokemon go. There are many people who wanted to play this mobile game but they can't for 2 reason: The game is neither released on their countries or They don't have a Mobile device like a tablet or a smartphone. So what do these scammers do? They use ads promises people they can play this game in PC and all they need to do is to answer their surveys. The link below is a playthrough of Pokemon go. If you watched that video You will see in able to play this game You need to walk around your town in real life, use GPS and your cellphone Camera because it is an augmented reality game. How the hell are you going to play a game like this with a PC or a Laptop. The guys on the video drives around Australia in real life just to play this game. How is that going to work with a PC? I hope people are not dumb enough to fall for this scam and answer Surveys! The only way to play Pokemon Go is to own a Tablet or a smartphone and live in a country were it is already released. This game is impossible to play in PC.

Of course you cannot play this game on a PC, but I suppose that many people do not even know how this game works.

@LadyDuckI will be dumbstruck if I meet at least one person who doesn't get how this game works... Given the attention it's gotten, the person would need to live up a rock or a desolat ilsand to not get how this game works...

You could always play on a PC with mobile broadband, an emulator and several miles of extension cable.

I can imagine the extension cable would look like Rapunzel's hair plaguing the whole city. Imagine driving around with a cable following you around.

Yeah hopefully no one got scammed. It is not even a game that promises to help you earn more money like most scams do. All you get is to be able to play the game illegally.

Money scams are too good to be true so less people believes them so scammers now go for a more realistic route of offering people to play a game or watch a tv episode for free.

That is such a scam. I wish people would not be tricked into it. A person can only play the game on their phone.

You might can do it on a laptop if you are in a place with wifi. But yes it sounds crazy that people would fall for it.

Laptop owners might have higher chances to fall for this than desktop owners.

Darn. I do all my stuff on a PC. I tried carrying my computer around on my shoulder but didn't find any Pokemon. Maybe next time I'll bring the keyboard too.
