She is a woman with great wisdom even though she did not finish her studies. She has been a simple woman with simple dreams. For her, finishing a degree is nothing if a person has no compassion for other people. She was the one who taught me my first ABC. Every day in the afternoon, she would sit with me and open me a book. She would read it full of enthusiasm while showing me the attractive photos that come along with the stories. She would try to explain as much as she could about ambiguous words so the idea would be clear to me. I got an edge over my other classmates because of her. I am now where I am because of her and I will be forever grateful to her as my very first teacher. No one can ever replace my mom in my heart. As long as I live, she will always be the most unforgettable teacher I had. This topic popped up in my mind while I am looking for my mom who has already gray hair now. Do you still have your mom with you? Was she also your first teacher?

I'm blessed that my mother is still with me and I pray that she continues to do so. She is my first teacher and my first love. Everyday, I show here how much I love her.

Both my dad and mom are still here but I wish they did not teach me how to read and write so I could not see their mistakes

My mom does not like her hair to be dyed. She let it dyed only when my youngest sister was going to get married. It is the reason why some people think that my mom is my grandmother already because she of her white hair.

@SIMPLYD She has been a housewife for a long time. She just worked at home before as a dressmaker because she wanted to be able to take care of us even she was working. My mom does not like to be replaced by other people when it comes to taking good care of us.

@annierose IS she still employed ? Because if she is , i am sure she will dye her hair . I dye my hair so i won't appear so old in comparison to my officemates who are just in their 20' and 30's .

What a lovely post - I hope that you will show this to your mom. Yes, my mother was my first teacher too, as I was for my own children.

Thanks for appreciating it @jabo! I am very shy to tell mom, my feelings for her. I would just love to show it by action.

Mothers, and parents as well, always want their children to achieve more than what they themselves had.

I've just realised you are talking about your Mum .. I guess for most of us our Mum would be our most important teacher in life. Mine is gone now but not forgotten. I would certainly love the chance to speak to her one last time.

I am sorry to hear that. You still have your father with you? I no longer have my father. I am lucky I have my mom still with me. My siblings are all married already and it is just me and my mom in our house.

My favorite teacher was my teacher in grade 3. I like the way she taught us. Very interesting. I never got bored all of my life back then
