I do buy things in there from time to time. I also donate items. I got a decorator shelf in our local Goodwill that was 2.99 as opposed to like 12 or 15 dollars on Amazon and Walmart. Plus, I had a 20 percent discount coupon from donating items, so I was happy. I also bought a pair of shoes. I know some people don't like buying items like shoes from a thriftstore, but I have not problem with it!

I've visited some but I never found anything and I haven't visited since. That's awesome you scored a good deal + got the coupon from donating. :)

A lot of folks don't know this, but some sell brand new. I' bought brand new clothes from Goodwill before. My all-time favorite jeans are black metallic, (hard to picture, right?), and the $59.00 tag was still on it. I paid $4.00

I absolutely love thrift stores! I have no problem buying most things from there, I always wash everything once I get it home.

I do... probably way too much. There are two thrift stores within a block of our apartment, and I love walking to them to look at what new items have come in recently. I got my first SLR camera from a thrift store for just a few dollars. I've also gotten some great decorative items like vases and some really beautiful glass bowls. After we had our first daughter, I picked up a lot of kids' movies on VHS, and when the VCR ate one of the tapes and wouldn't work anymore we picked up a replacement at Goodwill for just $1. We've also gotten brand new Melissa and Doug toys, board games, and a really cool dry erase easel for the kids. And furniture... lots of the pieces in our apartment are thrift store finds. The desk in the picture has to be my absolute favorite, though... I found this at the store across the street for $60. Totally blew my personal spending budget for a few months, but I fell in love with it and couldn't pass it up! Thrift stores are the best!

that is a very nice desk, you can pay hundreds of dollars for some of those desks, especially if it is a rolltop.

I like visiting and shopping at thrift stores. Some of my shoes, clothes and bags were bought at second hand stores and they are of good quality.
