Bumped my head into the tree branch, ow!

Beautiful view.

Yesterday evening, my boyfriend & I invited my parents' along on our regular beach trail walk. Since it was still sunny out, I decided to wear my baseball cap. As I was walking, I didn't notice a lower tree branch and smacked my forehead/head right into the tree branch. You could hear a loud wham noise and luckily no one else saw! I hit my forehead pretty hard but luckily not enough to wear I fell or fainted. As we were walking, I did feel a little bump starting to swell. When I got home, I iced the area and applied salt. This morning I woke up and luckily not bruised but hurts and it's a bigger bump (and not too obvious though!) Have you ever accidentally walked into something like a tree branch? Glass sliding door? I hope you didn't like me!

I have ran into the wall at night but I was sleep walking. I gave myself a red nose and it was during Christmas holidays so in middle school, people called me red nose the reindeer. :)

i'm tall and clumsy so, yeah, bumping is a part of life - head, shoulder, elbows, knees or hips. hahaha! glad you didn't fall or faint. no headaches or dizziness, too. i know about icing, but never heard about applying salt. why?

Salt is a remedy, my mom told me too =) No idea why, I've done it. I am short and still ran into the branch!

That sounds exactly like something I would do. Sorry it hurt and left a bump on your head. Ice should help with the swelling. Take care.

Good thing , it didn't resulted to a bruise . For sure if i am hit in my forehead , i will have a bruise , because i easily gets bruised . I always get my head bumped on the hanging open wooden shelf where our component is , when i am cleaning our bedroom . Then i also would always hit my upper leg into the table where our TV is in our bedroom . I feel bad because i would have a bruise after that , and that's how it is now with my leg - with a bruise .

You could very well have a concussion. Please don't wait to see your doctor. Head injuries can be deadly, even if you think you're ok.

Last time I hit my head hard. I went to the doctor and they didn't do anything. No x-ray, nothing. I wasted my co pay money! Just told me to wait until swelling goes down.

Funny you should ask this. When we were still living in the Pocono's, at one point I went to run out to the screen room and didn't realize the sliding doors were closed. Smack, right into them. Since that time we always have some things hanging on the glass doors.
