A while ago , because I am done with all my notifications , I was curious to see what posts are there in Top Rated and Interesting Discussions.
I was surprised to see that my post below was fourth in the list of Top Rated . 
Oh wow! , was what I uttered when I saw it . I haven’t been scrolling on the Top Rated for quite sometime although two have been there already sometime ago . 
And I was also so happy to know that 11 of my posts , which I have scrolled only until May 09 date , were in the Interesting Posts .
I am so happy that some of my posts are interesting , much more the recent is one of the top 10 rated posts . I feel accomplished as a writer here , with these developments .
But please don’t perceive me as bragging . I just feel I should share what made me happy today .

See? Even Mayon Volcano is “ oh wow “ , today .

Well done, I'm pleased for you. The top and hot discussions are there purely on the numbers of people who like and respond to them, so it's a proper indication of it's popularity.
However the 'interesting' is based purely on your tags, so if you have tagged something 'mall' for instance, every post with the same tag will appear in your list. So there is no merit as such in being there. That list is different for everyone, depending on their own tags.

@annierose @SIMPLYD Also the 'top' discussions are those with the most likes from those posted in the previous 24 hours, and the 'hot' ones are the ones with the most responses within the last 24 hours, no matter when they were posted.

Oh Wow my friend. Congratulations. I think the top posts are those discussions posted in the past 24 hours and those that gain many likes and comments. I have my share being in the interesting discussions too, but I think that was long time ago. Hahaha!

It could be that you were there also but you don't scroll on that category that's why . Good thing , i went there today , just out of curiosity as to who they were that is there . And i was surprised to find my post on the fourth , that hour .

Good for you, It seems a lot harder, but more fairer than Bubblews ever was. While timing is some of it with people being on, I always thought Bubblews controlled that because Mylot is more like a grassroots thing. You can just tell.

@SIMPLYD No, I mean it just seemed like the way bubblews did their feed, seemed like they blocked certain people from seeing certain posts of what they deemed as worthy. I do not know how to explain it, but always the way I felt. I mean if I had a post that had 670 something likes, then you know something was different. Here I think my high is 20, if that and granted I think the top I have seen on Mylot is like a little over 100. It just seems Mylot is letting their members dictate what gets top rated. Not the same as interesting discussions because I believe the website should dictate that because it does keep things interesting, different, and fun.

@crossbones27 I didn't notice that with Bubblews . Maybe because i wasn't always seeing what was in the frontpage before . Though i made it there also a lot of times .
But then , with 670 likes , i guess it's because it seems too good to be true or fishy . So that's why maybe they blocked it , since there are spammers there , right ?
As to myLot , i really don't know what their criteria was for the top rated . But for interesting , it could that it is interesting indeed , or intriguing , don't you think so too ?

I have never checked that 'top rated post' .. but I have checked the 'Interesting discussions' .. A few of my discussions went on there .. but some of the discussions that went there, I din't find interesting at all ... that includes one or two of mine that got there for some reasons .. lol ..

@epiffanie But i learned from the comments below that it depends on the tags we put on our discussions . It appears on the mylotter's Interesting posts because they have same tags as i understand it .

@SIMPLYD I believe that it's like a draw .. my posts just got it through the slot .. no one is there to actually check the contents of the discussion to judge whether it's interesting or not ..

Hey good for you.. I never even look up those sections to know what is trending. But I have come to know that interesting is more based on your interests.,. or the tags you use and top rated for the number of responses. Now I don't mean to burst your bubble.. I am glad this made you happy enjoy your weekend.

@SIMPLYD Yes I would be delighted if one of my discussions actually made it to top discussions. I'm not a very good writer. Actually my husband is the writer but chooses not to write right now and let me take over myLot. He'll give me some ideas sometimes. I pray and ask God to give me discussions that would interest myLotters and I pray He will.

I think only my last discussion made it on the top three within its first 24 hours... And for Interesting Discussions, it depends on tags we most frequently and recently used... So the list differs from one member to another and chances are we will see our own on top
