I was reading an article the other day on social media about the most important things to tell your child before they reach 10. Well, I have a son who is 3 and will be starting school (pre-K) next year. I am curious in the lead up to entry into primary education, what do the folks on myLot think should be included in the top 5 things I should tell my son before he starts school?

About the curses of bullying. He will be in school now, very natural that he will see this toxic culture around him. Never to victimize others and how to avoid being a victim.

Thanks for the response. It's something I think about a lot. I understand the need to very involved with all of his activities, to stay in constant contact with the school and to pay attention to any mood changes. I also plan to make sure he understands the need to avoid the peer pressure of joining in when someone else is picked on. I think one of the best compliments a young person can receive is to be known as kind.
