Mylot vs Chatabout

I thought I wouldn't really miss Chatabout all that much because it was taking longer to cash-in the points towards Paypal They first stopped giving the surveys which gave points every time you entered and then the amount of points just got a lot harder to earn.Initially, thirty earned dollars every month made an easy average. Later it became much harder although still could earn a few dollars. But what I liked about the site was that you could earn every time you participated. Each and every time you made a comment on the various categories where there were a variety of topics, plus news items, images, and the viral section, you earned a single point and once every week they had the double points offer. So you could earn quite a few dollars if you caught the daily poll and were able to make enough comments. I just thought that was a good way to earn. Although what I like much better about Mylot is the ability to write actual posts and therefore the possibility of interaction. That it's not just about acquiring points. Many just write posts and forget to interact and comment on the responses however, or it appears that way or more people need/might sign-up for Mylot.

I was ready to leave, then they gave me a free gold membership. With all the sites that have closed quickly with no notice I make sure to cash out as soon as I am able. I am so sorry you lost your money.

@GardenGerty It could have been a lot worse. I noticed that some members used to accumulate their points to cash out bigger amounts, so I'm sure that some of them lost a lot more than $5.
