Received a nice gift...

The other day, I was in the grocery store picking up a few things. After I paid for my items, I started to leave. When I was stopped by this total stranger, that I had never met before in my life. They came up to me: smiled, gave me a big hug, and said "these are for you," then walked away. I was handed a pretty bouquet of roses. I love fresh flowers, especially roses. I wanted to stand there and cry. I have been through and lost so much over the last couple of years; on top of my health declining, that it has been overwhelming for me to handle sometimes. Though this individual never knew what I was really going through...the good Lord above knew, and used this individual to give me a "pick-me-up" that day.

I like your explanation for this gift. When the unexpected happens, it may well be some form of divine intervention delivered at just the right moment in our lives.

I always believe in giving credit, where credit is due. Thanks for the compliment.

Thanks for sharing your blessing with us. It teaches us two things: 1. There are blessings waiting for us, and will surprise us unexpectedly. 2. If it is in our power to help others we should for in that way we are being agents of God.

@teresatrotter I guess that just means that we too need to do what we can when we can, if it's nothing more than returning a cart for someone to the rack, or holding a door

I agree to both. There is too much hate, judgment and criticism in the world.

What a wonderful blessing! God always knows what we need. He could have been an angel or just someone who obeyed the Holy Spirit.

@teresatrotter How wonderful. A thoughtful sweet gesture like that makes your day. Just when you think no one cares an angel comes up and gives you this beautiful bouquet of roses.
