What is Marriage?

I'm sure many people here are married, as am I. Marriage is sold as a dream and it can be, but it is also a lot of hard work. First, you must make a good choice. After that, it is still a lot of hard work to make sure you can create a healthy relationship. If you want kids (which are fabulous--we have two)--more work and more challenge. It is a good work and challenge, but I doubt if anyone who has been successful would tell you it is easy. You have to be willing to find it in your heart to trust this person with everything and forgive over and over. There is a quote something about having a short memory and an lot of ability to forgive. I can't remember. But yes, you have to big enough not to see this other person as the enemy, because it can happen. However, it is very rewarding to share so many experiences with one person over the years. It is a comforting feeling to be with someone who knows you and loves you.
