There are two ways to deal with FEAR
One is to
Forget Everything And Run
the other is to
Face Everything And Rise
Its easier to run , flee the scene and just exist for the time being . Its harder to stand up and face our fears. when we face our fears we would rise like a new person from the ashes of the fear we just defeated .
If we choose to do the first we would be hiding all our lives under the shadows and gloom of life's difficulties.
If we choose do do the second we may have to go through pain but we are sure to rise up victorious.
That is my the thought I want to share with you today.
Have a great day!

I like this. I'm in the middle of deciding on something that will bring about a big change in my life. Your post made me realize that sometimes, we have to step out of our comfort zones to grow.

@moonchild117 I hope you make the right decision. Its rather difficult to get out of our comfort zones but honestly you'll never find how far and wide this world is if you get stuck in there. Best wishes to you.

@sofssu Thanks! I really need that. Like what you said, it's better to face the challenges ahead. Let's see where that takes me.

I always thought there were three options, Flee, Freeze, and Fight.

@Jessicalynnt flee and freeze will belong to the first category and fight to the face category .. don't you think?

@sofssu not sure, since flee gets you away to survive, fight can win it to survive, and freezing isn't really good for survival, unless you stay hidden

@crazyhorseladycx LOL your responses always make me smile.. I am sure you are nit at all stupid... It is indeed a great feeling.. I had the fear of public speaking for years .., and when I faced it its become one of my biggest assets. I can speak for hours now without being afraid of anyone now.

@crazyhorseladycx LOL I felt that way too.. But I guess I really had to struggle with that one for years. I decided it was time to slay that giant. It was easier than I thought it would be.

I like your way to decipher the meaning of the word "FEAR" ... and I agree that's ...
Fear is not something that should be avoided, but it must be faced because actually the word "fear" taught us to be brave and resilient to face the problem.

Some of the time there is mix in between the two.. sometimes you have to forget and move onn and then come back with more power to face it.. nature too have made this provision by introducting cowardice into animals including humans.. that;s why hyna and some fox come out as coward animals but when the pray is weak, they attack and kill. so fear is good if used in right way.

@skysnap They are not predators to start with - the hyena and the fox. If we do not deal with fear right away it grows if you have noticed. The longer you put it away, it starts taking a huge shape.. as it happens with superstitions and is carried forward through the generations.

A perfect description of both @sofssu . Even though I'm still afraid of heights and snakes, I've dealt with both several times.

@nanette64 I deal with both of those too.. But now I know that they are dangerous and I don't have to push myself to do foolish things. But I never run away from hiking or taking a walk... we have quite a few snakes where I live.

I think one should stand and fight one's fear but in a careful way because often a person gets into more trouble due to his carelessness. At the same I must also say that a little bit of fear is necessary for accomplishment of any achievement.

@angrajkarn Fears here are irrational ones.. like fear of public speaking. I used to be so afraid to stand up there and face the audience until I mastered the task , now I see the audience fear me when I look into their face, they fear me asking them a question and catching them unawares.
There is a bit of anxiety before I speak each time.. but that is as you say good for me for it revs me up for the task.

@sofssu you have done well overcoming your fear. Not many people are able to do that.
But how do you instill fear in your audience. I need to learn this from you. LOL

This is so true. We can't let fear get in the way of our happiness, and we cannot let fear win. I admit, I fear so many things, but if I cannot face up to them, there really isn't any point. I believe we should all learn to face our fears and triumph over them. I'd rather go through fear and rise, than hide from it and run.

@ellagotnailed Believe me sometimes facing the fear is easier than living in fear. I have had so many fears in my life.. but conquering them has made my live a freer and happier life.

the best for us to do is the option two, face everything and rise. If we run, the shadow will always chase us.

@ilocosboy That would be the best choice though at times everyone opts for option number one.
