My husband has a stepmother. Although she did not marry his father, she has been with him for more than 25 years. Me and my husband are never fond of her, he especially since she was her nanny and ended up replacing her still living mom. She is every inch a pain in the **s, she made his life miserable and is still doing it. I pray that I do not leave this earth so soon, I could not bear the thought of my daughter being emotionally and physically tortured by an evil woman like her. If you are curious, the definition came from this link and not from me.

It is. His mom is still alive and is living in India. That's probably why the madrasta and his dad did not marry, I can't be sure though.

lol I feel ya. I grew up with the stereotypical wicked step mother, but you should know that not all step parents are evil. My dad is a step parent but you'd never know since he treats my step moms daughter like his own flesh and blood.

Why they did not marry, i do not know. They have 3 kids, 3 girls. My husband gets along well with them though. It's just this madrasta, so unlikeable.

@avalavigne yeah that's quite natural ..99% step parents don't get along with non biological kids.

@skysnap my husband had tough times because of her, to think that she was his nanny when he was 5.

In hindi language the correct word will be "dayan"

Thank you. My husband is in fact an Indian. Both his mom and dad are too. The "dayan" is a Filipino from Cebu.
