Mom is ill, suffering from osteoporosis. Fortis Hospital Doctor prescribed daily an injection for continuous 400 days cost around 20,000INR per injection. Total 20,000X400=80,00,000INR needed. Don't know what to do, where to go, how to arrange that much amount?
Sorry guys no time for any social site.
Keeping my mind cool. Be positive stay positive, in the end, All is well... Ol is well!
My mom in image. Lines in image is Poem I wrote for her last mother day.

@ModernDayWriter ... That is big amount for anybody...not even my neighbors can manage that...and they are stinking rich with an audi...that is why I feel you have it wrong perhaps...my neighbor's mother suffers from osteoporosis, and she does have a lot of issues but she is fine..for now. She needs a lot of bed rest...can't sit easily...are you sure because she is not the only one in the group with this ailment. I have two other aunts (family friends) who are suffering with it. One was told to take calcium supplement ..heavy dosage...twice a day.

I am sorry to hear that your mom is not doing well, Yogesh! I will keep her in my thoughts!
I hope you find something that will help with the cost of the medication she needs!
I understand about the high cost of meds! The shots I need for my allergies have just gone up again, too. The epi-pens were costing me $100 for a 2 pack of them. Then I found a coupon online that paid the $100! I had to go pick up two new epi-pens yesterday. I had my coupon and then learned the meds now cost $156 for the 2 pack.
I like the picture of your mom. If you have time, could you or @vandana7 please translate what you wrote to her?
Thank you!

I am sure that it is unnecessary to receive so many injections I would get a second opinion. You should make sure that she takes Vitamin D supplements and calcium supplements to strengthen the bones. Exercise and diet play an important role in Osteoporosis.

Yes, exercise is so important for everything. You are a doctor right? Here private hospitals try to recover cost of their equipment or capital outlay faster by resorting to unnecessary tests and treatments. For all that we know, they would be giving vitamin injections or glucose injections...while charging for osteoporosis injections. He was so dejected...from no end could I see the treatment costs anywhere even 1/10th of what has been told to him.

@ModernDayWriter I see, unfortunately this is the case also in other countries, when something is too expensive they want to impose a cheaper alternative.

translation of the poem would be something like this (you do know my limitation - lack of good command over your language, right...subject to that) You taught me how to walk on a path filled with thorns You stayed up in nights so that I could sleep in peace I did not know how to speak, read, or write You taught me ABCs My every hurt you have tended and every time I cried, you have made me laugh You introduced me to relationships You taught me the difference between right and wrong There were moments when I accepted defeat in my life But you came to me and encouraged me up on my feet Mother you are epitome of motherly love You taught me how to love.

@ModernDayWriter I checked again.
It is everyday, morning and evening,, and cost Rs 20,000 per month.
It should be given only for six months and so the cost is total Rs 120,000/-.
Any one can learn to do it at home so the cost is for the injection only - siva

@ModernDayWriter - Friend Yogesh - I have heard of those costly injections to assist in instances of osteoporosis. Back when I was into performing bone density studies in kidney dialysis clinics, I learned that the physicians often prescribed that their patients receive a seemingly large number of calcium pills (name="Tums") daily. Dialysis really robs the body of bone mass and the "Tums" were provided so as to help replace what was being lost. Not being a physician, I do not vouch for the efficacy of this treatment, but I did observe it in practice within a number of those dialysis clinics. The cost for the "Tums" was negligible. Check with the dialysis doctors in your own area. -Gus-

That's a nice looking sketch of your mother. We can get injections here for joint pain, but they don't have injections that are on a daily basis. I've gotten two or three at the most at one time done within a few weeks of each other. I think my insurance paid for most of it, but if I had to have injections daily for over a years time, I'm sure I couldn't afford it either.
Is that the only way she can find relief and is it definite that she'd get relief if following that regimen?

Right now doctors are saying injections are important they are not sure but these injections give relief from pain.
