I was now in a job interview and the employer asked me if I had a college degree, I raised an eyebrow at once. What degree have to arrange merchandise in a toy store? He laughs right?

Maybe he was asking because he will employ you in a higher position than just arranging merchandise; it can be a business degree he is looking for to help in his business.

Maybe they need a college degree for it. there are some stores that in their qualifications you need to have a college degree..

Why would anyone with a degree will work for mall, pizza shop and toy shop? and let's assume if one has no job or lost job even then they'd not be using degree to get job in such place.

Personally I think it is crazy to need a degree to work in retail or a restaurant, but looking in my classified section of my local newspaper I see it stating that quite a bit lately for those jobs. I told my husband that is bad when you are going to have to pay for an education to flip burgers or sell merchandise. SMH
