Most people don't even acknowledge veterans or if they do they think about 'Nam, Korea, or the big wars. I noticed a young man the other day that you could tell was military. Honestly, the only reason I noticed him was because he was more polite than most and a tad friendlier. He looked like he was having a hard time adjusting back to civilian life. I shook his hand and thanked him for his service. He had done two tours. I realized then that there is not enough help for vets to get adjusted to being civilians again and the trauma they went through just adds to their need for help. How do you think we should help vets?

We have a program here to help vets adjust back to the work place and companies here have stepped up and are hiring our vets. It's a win/win here. I'm sorry he's having such a hard time adjusting back to civilian life.

Me too. I met him on my trip back home. I hope where ever he is that he will be helped.

That's awesome from you i must say! Military affect great to soldier's personalities too. After all that's a lifetime experience. I think America should raise a project to fund the families of soldiers that have fallen down on the battlefield, that will encourage a lot of brave men to fight for their country.

It is true our pay for soldiers is pathetic. The idea is people want to serve their country. However, that is the same theory used to set up our government. Yet the ones that are corrupt and greedy are the politicians.

Its true such people need recognition and support in their afterwards life because they risk their lives so much not to mention the mental stress that most of them go through.

Helping vets. War never seems to be over. Give something if only respect and friendship.
