I love coffee. There is no getting around it, I love my coffee. I would give up just about everything else I eat or drink before I would consider giving it up.
I love the taste of it, the smell of it, and the energy of it. The only coffee I don't like is instant coffee.
One of my favorite kitchen machine is a coffee grinder. The heavenly aroma of coffee beans being ground is enough to make your mouth water.
By the time you fill your coffeemaker and prepare your first cup of coffee you are more than aware of just how delicious it will taste.
Are you a coffee drinker? Does it sound like I am addicted to coffee? It does to me.

I really love the simple pleasure of my cup of coffee in the morning. I don't drink it all day long anymore, but I do like a big mug of it in the morning. I have always loved the smell of it, since long before I drank it when my mom was brewing theirs.
It is an addiction, because if I skip the coffee, I get the headache. But I just love it and am not about to give it up.

@HazySue, Love that smell of freshly ground coffee. Especially when I get into work and not looking forward to the day. the smell of a freshly brewed coffee perks me up. I read that caffeine releases a hormone called histamine that the body uses to deal with stressful situations.
Unfortunately it also creates a craving for histamine even during normal situations. Right now I am trying to reduce coffee but it will be a while till I reach there. Till then, might as well enjoy that coffee. ;-)

Ii worked at Dunkin' Donuts regional office for 10 years - we had a 'kitchen' set up just like a donut shop - I had my fill of the smell of fresh ground coffee.

@HazySue If I worked in a candy factory I'm sure I would tire of eating it LOL

@AbbyGreenhill I guess the continual smell of coffee would do it. Anything you are around on a continual basis could make you tired of it.

@AbbyGreenhill I'm sure. Maybe I should have worked in a chocolate factory. Maybe then I wouldn't be craving chocolate.

Yes I'm a fellow coffee addict. I love when I open my can of coffee in the morning to put it in the filter to brew. The smell is enticing and I can't wait for that first cup of coffee in the morning. I haven't ground coffee beans in ages but I do remember how nice it smelled

@HazySue I think I'm going to buy beans and grind my own next time I need to replenish my coffee. I do miss that heavenly aroma

@Marilynda1225 you'll be glad you bought the beans. While they are grinding your mouth will water.

@Marilynda1225 it is heavenly. You get the pungent aroma while the beans are grinding and then again while the coffee is brewing.

I also love coffee and there are times I'll be in the grocery store and I go down the coffee aisle just to smell the coffee beans. lol I have a niece who can't have any caffeine so the only coffee she has in her house is instant. Needless to say, I'm not always thrilled about visiting. I often stop at Dunkin Donuts before visiting her! lol

@LovingMyBabies if you drink enough long enough it loses it's power. However you can't seem to stop yourself from drinking gallons of it.

It's really strange. I love the smell of fresh coffee grounds, too. When I was stationed in Jacksonville there was a Maxwell House plant near downtown and I loved driving by it, just to smell the coffee. I also love a can of coffee when it's first open, and that wonderful, fresh aroma.
But I hate coffee. I cannot stand the taste. I don't even like coffee-flavored Jelly Bellys. I always joke that's the real reason they threw me out of the Navy: because I don't drink coffee.

@FourWalls it is funny. I have heard this before. People love the aroma but can't stand the taste.
