Do You Remember Your Dreams?

Every night I dream, and I remember most of them, even dreams from years back. When we dream it seems to me as if we are whisked off into another world, like ours but with different circumstances. That's what my dreams feel like, so real that I cannot seem to distinguish it from reality, sometimes. Does this happen to you? Can you remember what you dream about?
Do you think we are whisked away, or is our mind playing us for fools? I do believe in strange things, and sometimes I think I really am in another place, just like this one, but different.

I have some dreams I remember even from childhood. They are scary dreams. One was a giant hand closing in on me. I had two space dreams that ended in explosions. They were both on the ground. We were around a spaceship and it blew up. I always wake up when I explosion happens.

@ellagotnailed I was maybe 10 or 11 when I had the hand dream and it still sends chills through me to think of it.

Wow! That is creepy! I've had dreams of explosions in the past where I've seen planes and cars explode. I once had a dream that my shoes exploded. Those dreams are scary. The hand closing in on you sounds intense. You know, dreams can also predict or tell us more about ourselves too.

@akalinus That would scare me too. I remember childhood dreams that still creep me out. In one I was chased by clowns, I am TERRIFIED of them. In another my home was just a box, like a wooden box. Very weird.

Some people believe that when sleeping, soul rises up.
I've dreamed about something, and I got up in a panic because it was so real to believe it was not a dream

That's how I see it. I've had those dreams that are so real, you wake up feeling like it happened, and you remember it like it happened. I have had many dreams like this. It could be a dream or something more? Never know!

Apparently we all dream every night but don't always remember them. It's our brain's way of processing our thoughts. I rarely remember my dreams and when I do they never seem to make sense. The funniest one I had recently was I thought someone was stealing my car but when I saw it driving down the road it was me behind the wheel so I was the onlooker and the thief!

I remember most of mine, which still baffles me. It is true that our brain processes thoughts and makes them into weird scenes. At the same time, I still feel there is more to dreaming than just thought process. I've had those dreams being the onlooker and the thief. That's quite an interesting dream.

@ellagotnailed yaa even sometimes I get so much involve in the dreams ..because it is so close to reality, but now I started analysing the dreams and found that there is always some clue present in the dreams which can help us in identifying that it is just a dream...

That's true! Dreams are quite different from our reality. Like I've mentioned a lot, they just seem too real, like there is more to them. But you are right, it is just a dream.

@ellagotnailed sometimes your dreams can seem so real that you can't believe they aren't.. There is a school of thought that believes your soul leaves your body when you dream and that it is dangerous for you to wake up while you are dreaming.

@ellagotnailed I have woken up feeling that way. I was told it was most likely sleep apnea. I think for some of us, dreams are the only thing that allows us to travel.

@HazySue That may be true. I will admit, I do suffer from sleep apnea, which does scare me. Dreams our like our time travel in a way.

That's scary to think that waking up can be dangerous, then again this may have happened to me. Many times when I do wake up in the middle of a dream, I wake up with a choking feeling. I can't breath, and I feel like I'm dying. I mean this could be due to other issues, but it makes sense. Dreams are some type of magic for some of us. I'm always traveling in my dreams.

@ellagotnailed Dreams are sometimes good and sometimes bad, according to what is going around in our heads, I guess.

Wow! I like you, can remember dreams I had years ago, as if they happened yesterday. It's OK not to remember them all. Dreams are just too real sometimes.

It could be lucid, they are too real for me. I remember most of my horror dreams as well. Those are something that no one wants to remember.

It's weird, because I haven't been remembering mine lately. The usual thing is for me to remember at least some of my dreams first thing in the morning. Sometimes they even affect my attitude the next day. I've had some that were SO real! The possibilities are limitless, maybe we are in some parallel universe during our dreams!

There will be times when I don't always remember, but then something reminds me and I suddenly remember. I mean we could be in some parallel universe. It makes sense in a way. Why is it that some people can be in each others dreams and remember them to the exact? It's a very spooky thing. Most of mine are so real, it's hard to think that my mind could have just imagined it.

Not everyone will remember them. Like my husband, he hardly ever remembers his.

Yes! I agree with you. The more vivid the more it seems we are in a fantasy like place. I always felt repeat dreams are trying to tell us something. Maybe warnings or premonitions.

Sometimes I can remember my dreams and sometimes I can't. If I do remember them then I can't remember all of it and just bits a pieces of it/
