Dental Braces and Retainers

I'm fortunate that I didn't have the need to put or used braces or retainers to align my teeth. I do have two big bunny teeth in front but it doesn't look bad at all. My son has braces on right now and I don't know for how he'll have them but I think it will take within 2 years for him just to correct his teeth. He accidentally swallowed two tubes and the dentist was worried cause it's made of metal. So we keep reminding him to not to eat too much hard food or just eat a bit slow when the food is hard. And also, constantly telling him to brush his teeth properly. Is it recommended that we go to the dentist every 6 months to get our teeth cleaned? Cause I don't hehehe

I go to the dentist every six months. I had a long process to correct my underbite when I was younger. I had retainers, braces, retainers, braces and now wearing a night guard so I don't grind my teeth.

Had braces for 2 years and retainers too. I remember I wasn't able to eat some food then. Yep, it's highly recommended.
