Yesterday, my husband and I took a break from everything to celebrate our 8th year of marriage. We've actually been together for 13 years in total.
We took a leave of absence from work (with permission from our sups, of course) and didn't tell anyone, not even our kids, of our plan for that day. Basically, we just spent the whole day together, just the two of us. We went to a cute little restaurant for breakfast, went to the mall, watched a movie, and had a special lunch and dinner. It was fun, we felt like we were young again, LOL!
It was a nice day yesterday. Maybe we can do something like this for next year. Or maybe travel out of the city or country.

That's so nice. Hope you could travel to another country next time. Rome would be romantic.

I sure hope so, too. I've never been out of the country. Rome would be a great place to visit. I'd like to see Japan and Korea, too.

@toniganzon Thanks for this information. Hubby would really like to see Japan. We'll try to make plans to visit that country soon.

@moonchild117 Those two countries are near each other. But you have to get separate visas for each. Unless you decide visit Jeju Island only, then there's no need for a visa there.

We ate out for breakfast at a small yet popular nook in the city (Kanto Breakfast) then went around the mall once it opened then had a buffet lunch. We watched a movie (but didn't really like it, haha!) then went around the mall again before having dinner. Basically we spent the whole day together and did things that teenagers and young adults usually do when they go to the mall, haha! It was pretty fun.
