A Bothersome Thing

Everyday during weekdays I would always go down a junction where I get a ride to the city proper to our office , while my brother-in-law drives to their office on the opposite direction each morning . For more than a week now , as I await for a jeepney at a still closed rural bank since it is shady there , I always see this man maybe in his early 30’s , sitting in one of those parked motorcycles by the parking side . He greeted me “ Hi Ma’am “, one time when I stood there to wait for a jeepney . I just ignored him and pouted . For the past days he will be there always smilingly looking at me while I wait for a jeepney which is for about a minute or two . I always stayed away from where he is . Today , as I alighted my brother-in-law’s car and crossed the street to get to that side where I would await for jeepney , I saw him again seated at a parked motorcycle . He was with a cellphone the back of which is pointing at me , trying to lower it . While I stood waiting for a jeepney far from him , I saw that his phone's camera was still aimed at me , though he is keeping it low . I don’t know if he was videoing me or taking a picture of me . But when he saw that I saw him , he hid his camera and walked toward where I am . Good thing , a jeep came along , but he still was able to tell me “ Hi Ma’am” . I saw from the jeepney that he went to the gasoline station beside that closed bank . I was bothered . If he had taken a picture of me or a video , what will he do with it? Oh my , he could upload it at Facebook and put some unkind or funny remark or whatever . I hope not . Just sharing this bothersome experience , guys .

Indeed that's what i have been thinking since that day, he was stalking at me. And to think i am like his mother . Thank you for your thoughts and prayers . I now don't alight there but at the bank where my brother-in-law works . When we passed by there , another man is there texting on his cellphone .

Yeah that is true . And the lack of work to do , makes them think of things like this to make . I don't alight from my brother-in-law's car there anymore . Instead , i alight at the bank where he works . Now , i won't be afraid of that stupid guy anymore .

Yes, that's why i am worried , most specially that he is taking a picture or might be a video the moment i crossed the street to get a ride to work . So , after that i just alight to get a jeepney ride at the bank where my brother-in-law works.

Precisely . No one wants to have their picture taken without their consent . I am afraid it would be uploaded in social media and would make a fun of me .

Not yet , because i just changed where i alight from my brother-in-law's car each morning . Since yesterday , i alight at the bank where my brother-in-law works . It's just a distance away from that place though the same street since that street is a long stretch of street where all jeepneys and private vehicles passes by . I plan to tell him tonight .

Indeed , specially when he did that . Yes, he seems always there in the morning . Today , when we passed by there because i now alight at the bank where brother-in-law works , he really stared at our car when it just passed by and my brother-in-law looked at him hard when we passed by there . He was surprised i didn't alight anymore . He seem waiting for me again .

@simone10 After that final incident , the next day i alighted at the bank where my brother-in-law works . It's just about more or less 100 steps from same street . There are guards outside , while i wait for a jeepney ride to my office .

mercy, i'd not like the thought 'f such :( seems folks've jest got no manners these days. i'd consider such a huge invasion 'f my privacy 'n prolly would'a asked him his intent. wonder what the legal ramifications'd be if'n ya took that phone 'n erased all the pics? sigh...what a world we live'n these days. heck, i don't e'en take pic's 'f folks property without permission 'n 'em knowin' my intent fer their use. e'en fields 'f crops...

That is right . Some young people have no manners , taking pictures of people without asking permission . And this one was trying to lower his phone to make it not obvious that it isn't i that he was taking pictures or a video . I got my eyes and i know it was me he is taking pictures or video of . Well, i had a scare of that , so i decided that i just alight from my brother-in-law's car to get a public ride to my office , at the bank where he works . It's about 100 steps from that place though the same street because this street is like the main road where all jeepneys passes by .

In Germany, we are not allowed to post a photo or a video of a person without asking the permission of that person or else you are sued. That is a law.

I thought at first that it's just coincidence that he would always be there in the morning just sitting and doing nothing so i didn't tell my hubby about it . But when this happened , i have to do something about it to end . Thus , the next day , i already alight at the bank where my brother-in-law works . It's just no less than a minute ride from that place , of the same street . Now, whenever we pass by there , he really looks at us and my brother-in-law would really look at him with tiger eyes.
