A Hot One Again Today

Here we go again with that awful heat wave around where we live.
Everyone is so tired of it, I, myself am dreaming of the Fall. It won't come fast enough.
How is the heat where you live? Is it scorching?
How about the rain? Too much, too little? Here, everything looks like a desert, not a pleasant summer at all.

@Marilynda1225 That's not necesarily true. In the winter, I'll be wearing four to six layers and still I'm cold especially when outside. If I put on more than that I'd probably suffocate myself. I can take the heat better than most people. While I don't enjoy it as hot as I did when younger, I can still tolerate it more than my hubby.
If I could pick, I'd take temps in the seventies to low eighties without humidity.

We've had the same thing here in Florida the entire summer. A bad Heatwave, and very little rain. The only saving grace is the humidity wasn't bad this summer due to the lack of rain. But I think we've made up for the rain over the last five days...a tropical system that has just been sitting idle in the Gulf of Mexico has been dumping tons of rain on us, and we have flooding everywhere!

@marlina Yes, finally! Five straight days of torrential non-stop rains! It was beautiful and sunny most of the morning today, but it looks like the afternoon thunderstorm clouds are starting to form now, so it will probably start raining again soon.

Our humidity and heat is oppressive, it has been raining off and on and it is just ugly.

We are in the mountains and the forecast had said it would be 75 as the high - what a lie - it was 85 yesterday and shold be hot and muggy again today. It's still cooler here than at home.

Myself, I live in the south of Tenerife (Canarian Islands) where we suffer the Calima (hot and windy weather coming abroad from Africa and which brings the sand over through the air, that's why the sky turns yellowy). Yesterday, we had until fourty degrees in the shadow and today the temperature went up to thirty six. The southern part of the island is also similar to a desert. The rain... maybe you see it two or three days a year, if you have good luck. In the northern part of the islands it's usual to see rainy days. That's the reason why more green vegetation is found over there and it's colder during the winter days.

We're very dry but the heat hasn't been all that bad. I can accept a bit of that during the summer. We are supposed to get some rain today. We'll see. So far it has stayed up in the clouds.

Yesterday was brutally hot and humid. I found it difficult to breathe and was glad that I live, drive and work in air conditioning. They were calling for the humidex value to be 106 here yesterday. I've long been dreaming of not just cooler weather but winter! This hot spell has just been too long.

It has been raining here lately, and lately during the afternoon it's usually cloudy. But when it's hot the heat can be pretty unbearable here.
