I have come across some post which mentions that God told me this , God told me that. I do respect God but I do not know if all this is true. Are they trying to say God is bias?? If yes then are they promoting or defaming him ? Secondly if God talks to everyone then why do you need to post what God spoke to me . Do we mention our daily conversation to everyone. Lastly I feel are they promoting God or themselves ?

Don't know which post you read or what it was saying but will comment on the question of is God biased? Ask David? Perhaps the Philistines during their week long drinking parties thought the Isrealites were promoting themselves or their God. Not sure about that but I do think God doesn't need promotion but perhaps people do whether they are godless or wanting to be in God's favour. What is wrong with being biased in the latter case?

Well the fact that he showers his blessing on some and not others is my question ?? People need to be reminded about God. Agreed to that. I am questioning the manner in my post.

Exactly my point. He talks to everyone as we all are his children.

I think we need to stop assuming what god is or isn't. That's how we sort our life.

God is as bias as one makes him out to be. Depends on the person really. Since God himself or herself or itself (lol whatever) hadn't made an appearance yet.

I was shocked to see how he has spoken to so many people . Just made me wonder are they glorifying themselves or God.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, that's just a fact. You don't have to like or believe in God, but only respect the opinions of others. Also, there are people who mention their daily conversation with everyone, they do it because it makes them feel happy to share.

@ellagotnailed Thanks for appreciating the freedom of speech. Some people definitely feel otherwise.

I am not at all a non believer. I think my belief is different from others. That couple with the fact that this is a discussion forum , I think I have a right to create a post and discuss this. Offending someone is definitely not what I want.

@zap_81 I can tell you, I'm not offended. You posted what you felt, that's fine. Other people's opinions are their own. It's OK to write what you feel. I can understand. No one wants to offend anyone by what they believe. You, like everyone else, has every right to believe what you believe.

I suppose that the truth is that some people believe that God has told them this or that and that perhaps some people get it wrong, mishear or even, perhaps, imagine that a voice in their heads is 'God'. Such people may not be wrong - they may just be interpreting what they experience incorrectly. Your second point supposes that 'God talks to everyone'. Well, perhaps he does but, some people are like a radio tuned in to the wrong wavelength. Then again, not everyone may be listening and some may have misheard what was said. Perhaps, even, God talks to each of us personally so that what he says to me may not be so relevant to you? I don't think that anyone is trying to say that God is biased, though it may well sound as if they are saying that their religion is the best. Personally, I believe that no religion is perfect - all have been changed and misinterpreted down the ages by humans trying to explain and elaborate on them.

Firstly I stand corrected that I do respect god. I have changed the post and rectified the error. I agree with you on the point that it may be a particular person's view or for that matter a feeling that God has spoke to you. My point is I have seen enough God Man duping people under the name of religion. I have also seen false prophecies. People need to be careful of such things. Its my view and it can be different from others. The problem is the assurance and the confident by which people say I have met God or for that matter spoken to him. Lastly I do not intend to be rude but if I have question, I will ask and if being rude is all you got then that just shows how weak your argument is.

I am late here, and a lot of content appears to be changed in the responses, comments and the post itself. Still, would like to ask: What made it an FOE issue as you have asserted in some comments..... I didn't find anyone who "feel otherwise". Defensive
