Would you pay $289.00 for a 93 inch tall bear?

I stopped by Costco this morning to pick up a few things and there, just before you get to the noisy, expensive three witches Halloween display, was a row of these huge stuffed bears. Yes, they are almost eight feet tall and have quite a girth too. Somehow, this seems like like it shatters the barrier of over-indulgence to me. Would an eight foot bear fit in your child's or grandchild's room? I am sure a child would love it for a short time, but what happens when the novelty wears off? I wonder if this holiday season will see us inundated by huge and far too expensive toys?

That's ridiculous, and a ridiculous price too. Just picking up on what you said about Halloween - they're not displaying things for that already??

There's a good size bear not that big, but not that small at Costco but it's like $30-40, a bear. That one is way too big but considering the size I don't think it's too expensive - but ideal for like photo shoots or something! And I wouldn't buy it though!

@JamesHxstatic ah yes! But there's another bear at Costco which is relatively big for a good value too like $30-40;)

This one is at Costco. My daughter won one about 4 feet tall and loved it for about two years when she was little.

Here is another bill. Child therapy. $2899.99 for services rendered to support traumatized child that was terrified of a giant 93 inch monster in her bedroom.

I guess it's good value for the size but how would you get it home? Some hefty delivery charges on top, I imagine.

I had not thought of transporting it. You would need pick-up at least. It is also at their online store and postage would be a problem.

@asfarasiknow I would hate to have to wrap it. It would be hard to bear.

@JamesHxstatic Well, there's a lot of surface area to stick all those postage stamps on!

That is ridiculous. I wouldn't pay that much for a teddy bear. My favorite toy was a teddy bear that my grandfather got to give me on the day I was born and it only cost $5. A lot of people are obsessed with these things and I don't understand why.

I might buy teddy bears that big if I have so much extra money and I live in an extra huge house where the bear can have it's own bedroom and never to be seen again.. LOL!!..

Hmmm...which kid am I going to boot out of the house for this bear? Honestly, I don't see how any normal parent would have room for that thing.
