Identify True Friends

We all have people who we call "friends" in our life. Some may have lots of friends and some may have few. Personally I could tell I have a lot of friends but the question is that I can't tell that all of them are true and loyal to me. Some people just pretend they are with me and they only do that for their personal advantage. I value your opinion about how to treat that kind of people.

I recall a saying - if we have friends like these, there is no need for enemies. I have had few who were up to no good - just pretenders and actors - siva

Yes. And if I am right, they won't leave me no matter what. If I am wrong, they will do everything in their power to take me to right path.

Well at times, one has to take a hit and suffer a few losses and disappointments. However, slowly we begin to realize how to deal with people- whom to be cautious with, how much openness to show. Also, close and good friends might argue over somethings but overall they do not mean us harm. However, clever and selfish beings might take advantage of our trouble and not give a good advice.
