It Was Not Supposed to Happen

Hubby is taking the day off so we can go have birthday fun. I was pro acttive, and shut the alarm off. He usually forgets on the weekend and it goes off at 5 a.m.
Guess who decided it was time to get up at 4:30. . .
Not Bob, not Heather. . . only Princess. She has been sleeping in our bedroom this week. So I got up. Went to the bathroom. She stayed on the bedside table, and meowed at intervals.
I have been told she is experiencing some dementia. I know that she acts like an Alzheimer's patient, in that she will not go from one color and type of floor to another. During the day she goes from desk to chair to table to shelf to cross a room. This morning I had to carry her to the hall way.
Her food dish was empty, so I filled it, that made her happy. I bet she went back to bed in the bedroom. She has not asked to go out in the dark and rainy outdoors yet.
We will be gone most of the day, probably. I will try to peek in from time to time if we come home. Mainly we are gonna focus on things like going to a zoo and movies and using gift cards to cover the meals.
I received more greetings on facebook than my years. That is very interesting and satisfactory.

Well I'm not awake yet. I just almost hit report instead of respond, lol. I was going to report that you're going tohave a good time today. I do hope it's a wonderful day for you. And that's amusing about Princess, but sad at the same time, it sounds like she has to take circuitous routes to get anywhere.

Well the day did not go as planned thanks to car issues and one heck of a thunderstorm. I sometimes just pick Princess up and carry her to the next place.

I had not known that until the vet said it last year. Since then I have seen it on more than one website. She really likes to keep us on track.

I have been known to put food out, something special, to stuff a pet to get them to go back to sleep. turkey used to put our kitties years ago, in comas, lol

I wish food would fix it. Maybe I will take her treats to my room tonight. It is more like she has anxiety that we are not doing what she things we should be.
