Someone just said that people simply kill the time on myLot. Do really people want to 'kill the time"? I come to myLot not to kill the time. I take interest in the discussions that I find here. I have been away for a few days. However I was not killing the time. I was in a place where I couldn't access the internet. Therefore I missed myLot a lot. If 'killing the time' means spending time doing something not very serious, what might be the history of this expression?

@ritwik17c Maybe there are few people here who just do mylot to kill time but I think there are too few of them because I'm sure almost all of us here enjoy what we are doing here.

@magallon I too. It would be nice to know the history of the phrase though...

Well, "killing time" to me means basically wasting it, and I don't think I'm wasting time at myLot. This is weird. I just had that feeling of "deja vu" like I'd seen this discussion before.
Anyway, this is a good place for learning about other people, and it's a plus to get paid. So this doesn't meet the definition of "killing time" to me.

@CinnamonGrl I agree with you. What's more, probably one doesn't enjoy killing time... whereas we do enjoy our time at myLot...

My son always asks me about expressions he has heard. This one just means finding a way to pass time. I think mylot is a great way to kill time
