It Looks Like Rain

It sure does look and feel like it's going to rain today. Very cloudy skies and it's already hot and humid. I hope if it does rain, it cools things off instead of making it more humid.
I just had to chase Daisy through the house. Somehow she found a sock of mine and for some reason that is her favorite "toy". She thinks it's all a game and ran with the sock in her mouth. Even when I was telling her, "stop...no...bad girl", she still thought it was fun. I finally had to offer her a treat because she is just too fast for me to catch. It worked and she dropped the sock.
I don't really have much planned today. My brother has to work for a while so I will be washing his clothes from his recent trip. Other than that, I am going to try and be on myLot a lot today. I have to catch up on comments on my post and visit other posts. My fingers just don't seem to be communicating with my brain very well as I am making so many mistakes and have to keep using the backspace and make corrections.

@LadyDuck They get along pretty good. Bella is an alpha so she thinks everything should be done her way. She is very protective of Daisy and will snap at her to get her away from something that she thinks will hurt her. Daisy is very submissive so this works well for the both of them.

she prob thought the chasing was a game too, distraction works better for my dog nibbler too. make something more interesting then wait and take away the shoe, or whatever he got

@Jessicalynnt It's funny sometimes how easily I can distract her but it's always good to be able to keep her from doing something bad by just giving her a toy.

Here in northern Florida, we got hammered last night with some very severe thunderstorms that lasted for hours, long into the night. It's unusual for us to get nighttime thunderstorms, as mostly we get the typical afternoon summer thunderstorms. But then again, it's been a really abnormal summer for us weather-wise. But even with all that bad weather last night, we have crystal clear blue skies here this morning, although it is already hot and humid.

I know what you mean about those afternoon thunderstorms. When we have been to Disney World, we experienced it but it never lasted long. I wish it would rain here for a while. We didn't get the rain yesterday but it is supposed to rain today. It's partly cloudy out so we shall see what happens.

@moffittjc That is the way it was the first time I was in Florida...the rain hit around 3pm. We didn't leave Disney, just went inside and shopped while waiting for it to stop which would be long at all.

@simone10 Yes, so you have gotten to experience typical Florida weather! Afternoon thunderstorms every day, but they usually don't last long! We have a saying in Florida: "If you don't like our weather, just wait 15 minutes!"
In the days before global warming seemed to disrupt our weather patterns, you could set your watch to the afternoon thunderstorms. They would hit every day right about 3:00pm, and be done and cleared up by about 4:00pm. Not so much anymore. The weather (and storms) are all over the place now.

Firstly thank you for sharing your lovely pic of your furbaby Daisy. I wish it would rain here, we are in the midst of a heatwave, brought over from Spain and I personally hate the heat, I have the fan on full blast and the humidity is quite high. We have had new turf put down out the back and it needs to be watered regularly otherwise the heat will dry it out quick. If it is like this tomorrow I'll think I'll vegetate in front of the computer with the fan on full blast!

@wolfie34 I understand what you mean about vegetating. I have been doing the same thing. We had a couple of cool days but now it's almost hotter and more humid than it was before. I'm so sorry that you are also having a heatwave there. It's miserable, isn't it?

those pups'll sure keep ya'n yer toes, eh? i'm fortunate that the ones here understand 'not yers' 'n'll drop'n command, lol. otherwise, they'd be gettin' treats oft - not fer socks, but baby birds, wee bunnies 'n the like :D
hope ya get some rain, hon. 'tis been cloudy here all day 'n though the cooler temps've been great 's i've been able to be outdoors much'f the day, some raindrops'd be most welcomed.

@crazyhorseladycx A part of me hopes she stays a little bit like a puppy. I would really miss our playtimes together. Bella doesn't always want to play anymore. If she does, I throw a toy...she runs to it and barks at me. I have to go and get the toy, throw it again and it starts all over again. It gets pretty tiring. Daisy plays by herself a lot of the time which is good. I wish Bella knew how to play alone without having one of us involved. I don't mind sometimes but like I said it gets tiring pretty quick.

what a pretty girl. she looks so soft and smooth. silky. with mylot it may not necessarily be you . I have an awful time typing here some days as it skips and sometimes drags to where I have to keep back spacing and redo the words, etc.
