Firstly I am apologyzing from those who don't know about the game of cricket. However this is not about the game but an incident happened in the stadium which made me ashamed. Today I went to watch a cricket match between Sri Lanka and Australia. The match was hosted by Sri Lanka and a lot of Sri Lankan supporters were there to watch the game. In the first few hours of the match our team played very poorly. But as the match went on, they got better and better. Finally opposition players were frustated and one of them showed it by agressively throwing the ball to one of Sri Lankan batsman. The crowed was really angry and they started yelling. They started making sarcastic yells and sounds on every move made by the opposition. Specially they laughed at every move made by the player who threw the ball. I could feel the pressure in that player and whole opposition team. The crowd really harmed the flow of the game. The opposition team was not able to play it's natural game. I never thought supporters of our country would behave in such a harsh and rude way. I felt more and more embarressed when I realized most of the people who yelled were almost drunk. I never saw that happened before. The security won't let any alcohol or they never let any alcoholics near the stadium. I don't know what happened today but I still feel really ashamed.

That's alright we should not be apologized for actions that we personally didn't do. Actions of few should not be generalized on entire country

Thanks! I know that but even one disgusting person is enough to make a whole country ashamed.

I know exactly what you mean. This happens in the game of baseball, and it's such a crappy example for the kids admiring the players at home. The announcers on the TV channel are former players, and although they always say something like don't do this in Little League or whatever, they kind of send a mixded message. Like once a ball hits someone, the other team is naturally supposed to "retaliate." This abuse can go on against a player for an entire game until somebody finally gets thrown out for doing it once too often. I hate it.

Happens a lot here in football matches but I've never seen or heard of it in cricket Normally that's a more gentlemanly sport and attracts a different sort of supporter. But if the ozzie guy was rude to your home player no wonder the crowd booed him...that's just natural.

But the crowd was more rude to him than he was to our player. I just expect more respective behaviuor from our supporters.
