Our local park staged a medieval day today with pretend jousting shows with horses and actors. All the costumes were good. There was also archery for the children to try which the boys enjoyed. Lots of stalls with medieval pottery, crafts and food also there.

Cool! We have Renaissance fairs here in the U.S. I used to go every year. My husband, when he waws my boyfriend, once jousted during one of those and he won the kiss of a "fair maiden" and I was so pissed, lol! But the fairs are a lot of fun and great food and of course ale to drink.

I know some people who enjoy this type of thing. They really get into the costumes when there is a fair.
