Why am I pooped right now?

We (the Country band) played a gig at a local bar and restaurant last night. Six to 9 PM. Then the other (more eclectic) band played a Farmer's Market gig this morning from 9 AM to 1:30 PM. It was 90 degrees out today and we didn't really have time to drink as much water as we should have. So now I'm sitting here pooped, with a throbbing right index finger (I played mostly bass today), wondering if I have the energy to make it to a friend's party this evening. Maybe I'll brew up some coffee and visit some MyLot posts now, and worry about it later. Ever wear yourself out? I'm looking for a second wind.

The party was good. There weren't TOO many people there, so the conversation was good.

Yes I have. Once when I was a college student. I studied all night without sleeping at all. I was awake for more than 36 hours.

Heh. I feel silly wearing a cowboy hat. Had to do it in LA, though.

One of my most tiring days was waking at 5:50am for college...we finished at 4:35 after almost 5 hours of chemistry and biology and I was waiting for the buses but 2/3 just passed straight by because they were too full, not to mention the traffic was very very slow because there had recently been a car accident...so I was waiting for the bus for probably over an hour, standing for ages with heavy books and didn't get home until 8:30 in the evening due to the bad traffic....as you can imagine, I was pretty grumpy!! :P Your day sounded much more fun and interesting xD

I'd be grumpy under those circumstances too! Yes, playing music was fun. But I don't want it to become a chore.

Nap Is not in my vocabulary. Unless I just pass out. I think I'm going to take a short bike ride.

I slept (this was far from a "nap") for nearly four hours last Monday after the weekend golf tournament (and subsequent three-hour drive home). I don't think it's really "wearing yourself out" as much as what Nat Stuckey once described in a song as "my can do can't keep up with my want to."
