Yesterday, I was doing some light, grocery shopping, and came across something that I had been in search of, for the past 22 years.
When I lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma, back then; I worked in the sound booth during services at a church I attended. One of the guys would bring in these Thomas Engliish muffins that were made out of corn.
They were the best tasting muffings, that I had ever put in my mouth! I loved putting butter and honey on them. After awhile, I started purchasing some for myself to eat at home.
After a couple of months went by, I could not longer find them in any store, no matter how hard I looked. Eventually, I thought that maybe the Thomas company discontinued them.
However, that did not stop me from trying. Every new area of town, city, and/or state I moved to...I would search for them. But to no avail, I did not find any. So...I eventually gave up trying.
Well...as I mentioned earlier... I was doing some light, grocery shopping yesterday, when something caught the corner of my eye. At the end of one of the aisles, there was a display of Thomas English muffins and bagels.
Low and behold, right there to my wonderful delight, were the corn muffins that I had been searching for all these decades, and years ago. I don't know if they have always been around, or the company decided to bring them back. Either way...seeing them on that display shelf, made me a very happy camper!!!
Of course, I grabbed me some, and last night I enjoyed a nice toasted corn muffin, with butter and honey all over it! LOL
Today, I decided to tried one of them a different way. After I toasted it, I added butter, mayonnaise, and a big slice of tomato, with a dash of pepper on top! Boy was that good! I believe I will fix me another one here, in a few minutes! LOL
I guess there is a lesson here to be learned. Even though something you enjoyed years and/or decades ago, may seem to be lost forever...God has a way of giving it back to you, when you least expect it!

Are you speaking of ginger snaps? I never heard of cocoa pop chocolate straws before.

@teresatrotter no, it was kinda like pringles, but chocolate instead of a crisp...could get mint, orange or plain flavours like that :P

There are things that I've had before that I really miss.
