Sunrises and the many hues of the sky

Sometimes when I look at a sunrise or a sunset I am amazed by the multitude of colors that are out there. So many shades of blue, purple, magenta, orange, red. Wow! How can the sky take on so many of these colors? I wonder. I vaguely remember reading a very scientific explanation in my physics class in school.
Later during the day the sky will become a calm blue. The only color will be the white and the grey rain clouds. But they float by and cannot touch the sky. The sky remains steady and almost seems un-fabricated. There is a sense of uncontrived peace in the simple blue of the sky.
It kind of feels like the same with the roller coaster of a human life. When we go through periods of transition, there are so many emotions - so many hues of happiness and sadness - just like the sun transitioning through the process of rising and setting. And then we learn and we grow and reach a point of stability - like the assuring blue of the day sky. If we can get good at recognizing this, then like the sky we can simply watch the clouds float by and stay unstained by the drama going on in the outside world.
And one of the biggest lessons the sky teaches is that nothing really lasts. Neither the stability nor the colors of transition. They come and go. And finally, do these colors really exist or is it just a projection of our cognitive senses and perceptions?
Happy sky-watching!

The sky and its formation is constantly changing. That's how life is. Forever changing. It's helpful to glance at the clouds. Relieves stress. Perhaps more should be enjpying what the clouds and sky have to offer. Lots of peace will be generated by doing so.

As I write this I am gazing outside my window, watching the fading daylight.
The physics explanation takes a background as enjoy the palette out there.
Having said that ,its not that easy to remain at peace with the ordinary business of living.:)
