Another money making website shuts down!

So I signed up for tsu back in 2014, I'm pretty sure I found it through Bubblews... well long story short I just went on it today and was greeted by a message that basically said the site is now shut down! Well there goes another "bank" that I'll never be able to cash out. Have you experienced this before? A money making website that shut down and still has your money that you made on it?! It's sadly not an uncommon thing I'm seeing these days. I hope MyLot sticks around. It truly is the best website out there right now for making a little bit of extra money. They've been great with payments too. They've always paid me in a timely manner whenever I'm able to cash out.

@Jessicalynnt Yeah it's rather frustrating thinking about how much money I should have gotten but never did nor will because a site has shut down. I

Luckily I only lost $9 with YCN because about a week before it shut down I made a post in the forums about not getting paid for 14 articles and ended up getting paid the next day. After that happened I took a little break and then the site went down. I do miss YCN though I wish I would have found it much sooner and worked harder on it. It was my first writing website though and I learned a lot from it.

Yes, it is the lost posts that sting worse than no payout. Of course, it only happens once and then we learn to backup everything.

I can't remember how much I had in my Bubblews bank but I've since moved on. MyLot is much more better I think.

Several places still owe me money that I will never get. Helium, Bubblews, and Chatabout all left without paying me the latest of what I earned. I was on Tsu but never earned anything there.

It's so sad how many have shut down in the past couple of years. It's getting harder and harder to make money online these days unless you are doing ALL of the work it seems. I think writing sites are just becoming a thing of the past. It's almost like you can only make really good money writing online if you have your own successful personal website. I'm happy with MyLot though and I've been make okay extra money with it AND they've been paying so no complaints here.

I was a Tsu member. However, after quite a long time of work (over a year I think) my bank had only reached the princely sum of about $2.62 or some such. Bubblews left owing me about $10.

I had $14 in my bank on TSU and that was since 2014. Right now I'm uploading my good pictures that I used to post onto TSU onto the app called Foap. It's an app where you can sell photos.

I'm on tsu as well but I was never really active. I didn't get to figure out how to earn there no matter how many times I've read their FAQs. Anyway, sad to know that another website is shutting down. Hopefully, they still get to pay their existing clients for sticking around.

@allen0187 Not at all lol! I only had $14 in the bank last time I checked. Although I did donate a lot of it so... I really don't know how much I earned the entire time I was there.

I think I found Tsu via B too, but I only signed up for it and never did anything with it. I was on that CPG Gallery, but I took my chances because it was said that the owners had been uncommunicative and not paying anymore just as I got there. I quickly made it to payout, but of course never saw a cent. I believe myLot was the first site I signed up for way back when . . . I'm glad myLot came back and that all is good again (always was that way!).

Yeah I see that now. It is frustrating because it took a very long time to get to the redemption and then when you did get to it you have to wait for them to verify it and then send a check. It was very complicated and time consuming. So long story short a lot of people just wasted a couple years worth of work for nothing because it just was too hard to reach the redemption on there. So you lucked out by not joining!

@Bellatricks That's the problem you work very hard and by the end of it all the site goes down with even your earnings. It's becoming hard to find a legit paying site.

I think I had $14 in my bank and I signed up back in 2014. It was one of those websites where you had to be active literally all day long to see any progress.

@waflay That's another reason why I love MyLot. The minimum is just awesome and I haven't had a problem getting paid. I get paid every time I cash out and I'm not worrying about them keeping my money.

This has been a very busy month for me. One of my dogs passed away and then we ended up adopting one from the shelter so I haven't been spending too much time on writing sites as of late. I honestly hadn't been on tsu since last month. I just randomly decided to check it tonight an found out it had shut down. :/ I was on Persona Paper but never made any money on it. I don't even think I had a dollar on it.

I think some of them initially promise too much. myLot doesn't try to tell you they'll pay you some exact amount, because they don't know what the revenue will be-- which is much more realistic.

We don't make much here, but at least it is realistic. Some sites promise the moon but only deliver moon rocks.

I have never heard of TSU. It sucks that paying sites shut down or stay up but stop paying. Bubblews is no more and WebAnswers is no more. And I think Triond is gone as well. WIkinut is still up but they are not an earning site anymore. You can still post articles and previously published ones are still there but you do not earn anything anymore. Guess they can't afford to pay writers anymore. At least HubPages is still going strong though I am not as successful there earnings-wise as I want to be.

I have a hub on Hub Pages that brings me in a penny a day lol! It's pretty much the only hub on there that's bringing any money to me and I've had it on there for a couple of years now.

@lovebuglena I just checked and I have 7 and only 1 is featured. I don't ever really go on Hub Pages because all my hubs don't stay featured for too long.

@Bellatricks How many hubs do you have? I have over 200 hubs and my monthly earnings are not high. I don't think I ever went over $12 in monthly earnings. Usually around $6 plus or minus.

I have experienced this before in lots of site requiring investments. They would just disappear after a couple of months or even days! I learned my lesson now. I no longer sign up on investment sites that promises too much.

Yeah, I would take breaks from it at months at a time. There were times where I was pulling in 50 cents a day but that was with I would spend maybe 15 hours on it! Way too much work and now it's been for nothing..
