Books are the greatest treasure and pleasure

In the world of sorrows only the books can bring smile on our lips. The books are like windows of mind otherwise the mind is like a dark room Thomas Jefferson writes - I can not live without books. Francis Bacon writes- Reading books makes a full man , conference a ready man , and writing an exact person. Books are priceless because from the beginning of our education we have been reading the books. The books have preachings, teachings, education, entertainment and deep knowledge.I think that some books may be bad but most of the books are good specially of great writers. If we had no books we could not be able to feel the greatness of old writers. The books are our best friends we laugh and weep with them but they should be well chosen and old. God should be thanked for books and their writers , the books are the voice of our pain and pleasure. The best thing is this that through books we can share the voice of heart of them , feelings of the writers and poets who are not present now among us.

And I saw this quote on a book-mark. "A room without books is a room without a soul"

@sunilmishra7756, Of Indian writers my all - time favorite is Tagore. Among the contemporary ones, I like Amitava Ghosh and Siddharth Sanghvi. What about you?
