Michael Phelps announced yesterday that he will not be coming back to the next Olympics in four years. He made his statement after he won a gold medal. He is an amazing athlete. I agree with him, there are times when a athlete needs to retire. Sometimes it's wise not to overdue your success and to move on to another venture. Do you agree with his recent announcement?

I think he has really had precious moments of emerging victorious in his swimming talent. This is admirable and he has really left a history and a mark as a swimmer.

Well, certainly he can move on to the next place in his life. He's a married father now so sometimes that changes your priorities. Also, I mean there is allure to him going out on top. At a certain point your athletic career can only go down. I hope he is making the best decision for him.
