Green thumb person refers to the people who can easily grows plant. Those who can grows well what he planted says its a gift from his hands. They call them green thumb. This is the season of raining and the best time to plant trees, ornamental plant, garden plant, and even rice seedlings in the field. Green thumb or not, I think it easier for plant to grow in the season. Sometimes, I don't believe that green thumb is a gift. I think, its the responsibility of the people who planted the seedlings to makes sure the plant grows. If you take good care of the plant, fertilize, weed off, and give fence around it, it will grow luxuriant.

i still remember the picture of your tomato plant. i agree gardening successfully might be learned, but maybe there are factors, too, like not knowing if a plant likes sun or shade, more or less water, the quality of the soil, etc.

You are right friend, not all plants like too much sun or direct heat from the sun and some likes to be exposed to sun and also the kind of soil. It depends also to the kinds of plants you are planting if they need too much water.

I can't say that I have a green thumb or what, as long as I plant trees, flowers and veggies, it grows well because I take care of them always every morning or even in late afternoon.

That is one sign you are gifted. You don't just realize because only few of your plant will die or don't grow well.

I discovered myself to have a green thumb only this year after planting snake and welcome plants from Leaves. But if there's one thing i can never be successful planting is the moringa stalk, I was a bit successful with seeds, but with stalk, nope, never.

The native malunggay or moringa easily grow just by planting a part of the branch, just the size of your foot thumb. The moringa that easily grows with seeds are those with longer fruits. And do not plant them in wet season, plant them during summer and do not always water them.

no, i am not. in fact, when a suitor gave me a bouquet of roses in Kuwait, i touched the long-stemmed flowers and the nest day, they withered. the only plants i can grow are ladyfingers (okra) when we had plots during work education in our elementary years

I share the same sentiment as you. Planting comes with the responsibility of taking care of what you have planted. It also needs good soil, the right time, the frequency of watering them and of course the location.I have planted some vegetable in our garden, and glad that about 75 percent of what i planted are all alive and have even bore some vegetable.

Tomatoes can wither in rainy days because of too much water, it can stand in summer but with supply of watering. It is also good if you put stand in the tomatoes rather than letting it in the ground.

I believe on your last words. The success for a plant to grow depends mainly on how it is being taken cared of. The term was used by primitive people when things were not yet explained scientifically (maybe?).

Maybe not from primitive but they just coined it for the people who can easily grow plants.
