Let The Frogs Sing

We finally got the rain we needed later yesterday afternoon. It didn't last long but it did cool off just a tiny bit. I woke up this morning to rain and it had been raining overnight. As I sat on our balcony drinking my coffee this morning, I could hear all the frogs croaking happily. We always hear them at night but when it rains, they are extremely loud and you can also hear the tree frogs which we have a lot of. It made me smile because they are so happy that it is raining and they are singing their little hearts out. I kind of wanted to join in their song as it is a bit cooler this morning. Not a lot but the humidity is down a little. I hope it rains all day long. I love the rain just like the frogs do! *This image is from Pixabay. The frog looks similar to the little tree frogs we have here.

Well the rain is a welcome site, step one to better weather, step two is cooler temperatures. We need the tree frogs to talk to Mother Nature about getting us step two one of these days!

I love rain and I love to hear frogs singing. It is the monsoon season in my part of the globe. This is the season I find myself happiest.

I love the rain too and would probably be happy if it rained almost every day.

I seldom hear frogs here in our area even when it rains.. I kind of like the sound of frogs late at night when it rains.. But this evening I was watching a cooking show and this guy cooked stir fried frogs..eww!

@cacay1 Maybe they get enough rain normally that they don't feel they have to sing to get more...lol.

No, our balcony is on the second floor so we don't usually see them but I do hear them in the bushes right next to our balcony.

I love rains so much. They make the weather cool and the nature becomes more beautiful. I observed a lot of frogs this rainy season too

the rain is not a friend to my breathing lately but I do like the kind we have there back home where you are. just the rain here is terrible, thunder, lightening, never seems gentle and rain most every day a down pour. your morning sounds lovely. I love little frogs and toads ...

It does seem to rain a lot in Florida...every afternoon. I don't care for the thunder and lightning.

Lately, when we have rain it is accompanied by thunder and lightening so I a not as enthused as I am by just the rain. Wee needed it though so that is good.

I am glad that the rain came. It's nice to hear the frogs singing, but not when they sing all the night long. They can be very noisy.

@LadyDuck I don't know if I would like it if I could hear them right outside the bedroom window. I am a light sleeper and probably wouldn't be able to sleep.

We have a lot of trees on the property here and a lot of tree frogs. We had one on our second story balcony and I have no idea how the little fella got up that far. Our cooling off period didn't last long. It's hot again today.

@crazyhorseladycx Maybe it is just too hot for the frogs? When we lived in Vegas, we didn't have mosquitoes and a lot of other insects because it would get too hot.

@simone10 frogs like water 'n there aint much'f that 'round these parts (rivers/lakes/creeks). i wish 't'd gotten too hot fer insects here last month. 'pparently those 100+ temps jest slowed 'em down a bit, lol.

We don't have many frogs where I live but we have countless thousands of toads. Luckily, toads sing, too. I love all the music nature provides for us.

I love it too! We got more rain yesterday afternoon and our frogs were so happy last night. The tree frogs sound different than the regular frogs so we had quite a concert going on.

I'mma have to listen to a tree frog's croak, because that might be what I hear my apartment complex's doggie park after it rains.

I'm sure those poor frogs have been suffering from the lack of rain too and were probably doing a rain dance as well as singing when it finally fell
