I remember my first day at myLot....almost one year ago

I knew I signed up at myLot in mid-August 2015 - I believe it was one year ago today. However, I had to scroll back to see what day I posted my first discussion. I knew I didn't post immediately, I took some time to see what this place was all about. I did my virginal post on August 18th, two days from now.
A look back over the year and I'm very glad I jumped in and got started here. I have met a lot of very nice people here, some I knew previously, some are new friends. I've also seen people come and go as fast as weeds pop up in our garden.
We're all a year old, but as long as we don't change our profile photos whose to know LOL!

It would not be possible for me to trace the exact date that I joined Mylot. My first discussion was posted on 27th October 2006, but I was a member for a couple of months prior to a actually posting. I began by reading for a few weeks and responding afterwards until I finally assessed what type of material would be suitable here.

@AbbyGreenhill Only half a tow at first. Mylot was the first writing site that I ever used, so I was more concerned with participating properly than earning.

@AbbyGreenhill Oh no, I only joined the computing world 3 years ago, and Bubblews was my first site. I'd never even touched a computer or done any writing until I was 73.

@Jessicalynnt I left there when they said 'no one would get paid for any of the back stuff' and I had been promised, in writing, that I would get the money owed me...so I told them bye bye.
