Wonderful - Greetings arrived from Jeannie who was visiting with the family making memories and taking the time out to send me a postcard. What a magnificent sight this must be to behold with ones own eyes!! The caption on the postcards says: Snow looks like "Winter Cotton" from the Jumpoff in the Great Smoky Mountains National park. Some facts on the area: "The Great Smoky Mountains are a mountain range rising along the Tennessee–North Carolina border in the southeastern United States. They are a subrange of the Appalachian Mountains, and form part of the Blue Ridge Physiographic Province" The stamp mark is from KNOXVILLE - that is so awesome! The thing that makes me marvel, is that there are so many breathtaking visions in nature that we just take for granted. Talking of which - a swarm of bees have decided to take up on of my tree's branches as their new hive - not sure why, but as my daughter is allergic to bees, we have sought out some professional help to have them lured away - not exterminated! Thanks @Jeanniemaries for the wonderful view of what it looks like in your vicinity during the winter months.

The view is awesome, but I don't want to see it on one of our rare real summer days! :-)

I believe you are having a serious heat wave at the moment - Today in the wintery SA we are expecting a high of 27*C and already at 7-30 in the morning its 16* - Spring might be in the air

That's a very pretty postcard. Hope you manage to move the bees on to somewhere more suitable.

@Inlemay The sooner they are moved the better I would think.

I hope you can get rid of the bees, they are useful insects, but I am also allergic and I try to stay away from them.

@Inlemay We have a honey producer just two blocks from our home. We had a serious wasp problem about 5 years ago, we had to call the firefighter to exterminate the colony.

It's a good thing that you are able to have the bees removed. I wonder if they will come wearing all the bee gear to protect themselves

Jeannie is a very prolific card sender, isn't she? I'm glad you aren't going to exterminate the bees.

Bees are being threatened all over the world and having them in my garden is a wonderful thing, I would let them be if I didnt have Inge being allergic and teaching about 2m from their NEW dwelling

I have seen the Smoky Mountains snow covered, but this time around they were lush and green. The shop where I found the postcards only had Fall and Winter views! This card was very pretty with all the glitter! So glad you liked it! I had one from you too! Thank you so much! I will be posting on it.

its indeed breathtaking to behold. The reason i would have the bees ...evacuate ...my home would be because they FREAK ME OUT!
